CINDY LAWLESS is Co-Owner of The Burn Studio. Cindy was hooked after her first indoor cycling ride, and eventually her love of this challenging workout led her to purchase the studio. She believes there are two key components to healthy living — exercise and nutrition. . Cindy’s goal is to create an upbeat environment with a friendly staff that will encourage positive thinking and positive results.  Her classes are full of energy to get you motivated and great music that you just can't help but sing along.   

 

GARY LAWLESS, Co-Owner and Fitness Consultant / Personal Trainer, has been following the sport of bodybuilding for over 20 years.  He has been active in sports his whole life, competing in soccer, baseball, football, beach volleyball, martial arts, and water skiing.  He became a certified trainer in 2000 and earned his degree in Exercise and Sport Science.  He trains men and women of all ages including competitive figure athletes, women in all stages of pregnancy, and clients with special needs due to injuries/medical conditions.  His knowledge, experience, and reputation in the personal training industry has earned him the loyalty of his faithful clientele.   He has been taught by the best in the industry.  

 

TERRY WALKER, Cycling Instructor, has been teaching indoor cycling for over 14 years at a host of places from Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Hollywood to the San Fernando Valley. His training as a dancer and choreographer at Columbia in Chicago has helped him create a structured workout which incorporates all muscle groups, increase cardiovascular strength and endurance all while getting your groove on.  His longevity, experience, and reputation in the fitness industry have earned him the loyalty of many faithful clients.

 

TRACI BENTON, Cycling Instructor, is famously known for her cycling classes in Burbank.  She's built a loyal following over the past six years. It is absolutely her passion and energy that motivate them.  In her class you will find grueling routines of endurance, climbs, sprints, and isolations. Traci relies on a killer play list of today's hottest pop, hip-hop, dance and alternative music to help motivate the class through her rigorous workout. Though she is not on the schedule regularly, when she teaches, Traci's class is one you won't want to miss…EVER!!

 

EDDIE CRESPO, Cycling Instructor has coached and trained all levels of athletes for over ten years, practicing and teaching the values and benefits of the Kinetic Chain and how it relates to functional movement in condition and fitness training. He has finished 17 marathons and competed in the North America Ironman Canada in 2005, and is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. TRACI FELLMAN, Cycling Instructor, began taking indoor cycling classes in 2007 to improve her cycling performance for triathlons.  She quickly became addicted to the high-energy, high-intensity classes, and started teaching in 2008. Traci's class provides a workout that blends strength and cardio and is set to music to keep you motivated (maybe even singing along).  Her goal is to make sure you feel better at the end of the class than you did when you walked into the studio.  

 

  AIMEE GONZALEZ, Studio Manager, is a familiar and friendly face at the front desk.  She has been managing the The Burn Studio for the past 2 years. Her education is in Health Science and plans to become a nurse.  Aimee is fluent in Spanish.  Aimee runs The Burn like a pro and can answer any question you have.   There is nothing she can't do or fix at The Burn... just bring it her way!!  If you haven't met her yet, make sure and say hello at your next visit.   Click here to email Aimee.

 

FLOR HERNANDEZ, Cycling Instructor, has been in the fitness industry for the past 10 years.  About 6 years ago she discovered the wonderful world of indoor cycling and has been addicted ever since.  She has such a passion for riding and that nothing could stop her from becoming a certified instructor.  Her classes are full of energy, hip music, coupled with a rocking routine that will keep you wanting more.     

   

KRISTIN POLEGA, Cycling Instructor,  was born and raised a Jersey Girl. She moved to California to pursue her masters degree at USC. Kristin has been teaching group exercise classes for over 5 years, including indoor cycling, pilates, yoga, dance, abs and lifting classes. KARLOS RAMIREZ, Cycling Instructor has been an avid indoor cyclist for the past 7 yrs and an instructor since Feb. 2008.  Karlos' class is fast-paced and energetic, packed full with a variety of music, including pop, hip-hop, rock n' roll, and even some country! His workout is sure to get your heart pumping and your body sweating and asking for more!  He is hip on all the new music and will have you rocking your entire ride!!!  He's not on the regular schedule, but when he is, you better watch out!!

 

MICHELLE REITER, Personal Trainer and Cycling Instructor, is thrilled to be part of The Burn team!  She holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and has been working in the fitness industry since 1994.  Michelle is a nationally certified personal trainer and has taught numerous group fitness classes.  Her training sessions involve functional movement, intervals of metabolic and resistance training, flexibility training, and a lot of FUN!  She is offering small group training "Bootcamp style" and upcoming one-on-one personal training.  So get ready for her upbeat, highly motivating workouts!  Click here to email Michelle or visit Michelle's website. 

 

                        

TIMOTHY SCHMITT, Front Desk, has been working in the fitness industry and at various gyms for over two years.  He was born in Redmond, Oregon and moved to Burbank 11 yrs ago and has been here ever since. Whenever he has a chance, you will find him snowboarding in the mountains.  Timmy is definitely our “early bird” and will come in at the “crack of dawn” to get things up and running on Sundays at the studio.   You can’t miss Timmy when you come in because he will be the one at the front with a big smile.

 

JASON SQUIRE Cycling Instructor, has been riding for over 6 years. After teaching at many different studios, he has discovered that indoor cyclists are full of passion, intensity, and are usually a little bit crazy. Jason believes cycling is a good metaphor for how to live life: Give it everything you've got and the return will be better than you could ever imagine. Class and life are both best enjoyed at full speed, with the sweat dripping and the heart pounding!

 

SHANNON TOWLER has been a dedicated road cyclist & athlete for many years.   She has most recently completed the AIDS/Lifecycle 8 ride, cycling from San Francisco to Los Angeles.  She also teaches Physical Education at a co-operative learning center.  You may see her in the community as she is highly active in healthcare fundraising charity events.  Shannon’s experience & endurance as an outdoor cyclist is carried over to her indoor cycling classes by creating an environment of passion with purpose.  As student of Kundalini Yoga, she infuses the importance of balancing the body, mind and spirit.  Click here to email Shannon.

 

ADRIENNE HOWELL, Cycling Instructor, is another new face at The Burn.  She is a certified personal trainer and group instructor, and has studied exercise and fitness for over 20 years. She loves helping people achieve their fitness goals and believes that exercise is part of a healthy lifestyle, not just something you do to lose a few pounds. She began teaching indoor cycling 4 years ago and uses her love for music as the motivating force behind her passion for this class.  She enjoys the creativity of combining music with challenging cycling drills, turning an ordinary bike ride into a high-energy, heart-pumping, fun “dance” on the bike.
